REVIEW

#AD – GIFTED BY THE BRAND

Vetyver is an almost nutty, dense, green vetiver. Rightfully compared to releases like Chanel Sycomore.

It’s spicy and rooty, vegetal. It has some of the vetiver soapiness (it’s not as heavy as Sycamore or Encre Noir in my experience, but also not as light as Grey Vetiver or Roja Vetiver). Perhaps closer to Guerlain’s Vetiver. The citruses don’t add much acidity in this composition, keeping it more on the spicy side, but there is a watery tinge to give some levity. From my memory, I think I prefer this slightly over their Vetyver Cedre. Vetyver Cedre is from the brand’s men’s line, while Vetyver is a women’s release, but in my opinion, this one, albeit unisex, also leans more traditionally masculine more than feminine.
